Workplace Literacy

The Education Fund supervises the development of Workplace Literacy Programs that are designed to assist the Local 1180 member in carrying out their responsibilities more effectively.

Our Courses assist members in improving workplace skills by offering workshops, seminars, and exam prep programs.

Our Seminars & Workshops encourage members to address concerns about saving, meeting financial obligations, and managing money in order to meet future needs.

Exam Prep Programs are developed on an as-needed basis to assist members in preparing for civil service promotional and open competitive exams.

Classes are conducted on weekday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and/or on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at 6 Harrison Street, New York, NY 10013-2898.

All classes have a class code.  Enrollment closes thirty days before the first class meeting.

For example, Access, CO2013-52, starts Saturday, March 9 and enrollment closes February 9.
