Benefits Advocacy Appointments

Individual appointments are available to retirees who desire a one-on-one review of their benefit reimbursement.  Appointments are available with the Retiree Benefit Advocate in the office and at borough meetings.

If you have scheduled an appointment for an Individual Benefit Review with Lynda Hogan, Retiree Insurance Benefit Advocate, for CWA Local 1180,  please be aware of what is needed for your review:

The following is required for filing the Prescription Drug Claim Form:
  • Make sure you bring your pre-printed claim form 
  • 12 pension stubs, or 4 quarterly statements, or yearly itemized statement from New York City Pension Office
  • Prescription Statements (Medicare Part D Explanation of Benefits) from your health plan. 
The following is required to file the General Medical Claim Form: 
  • Make sure you bring your pre-printed claim form 
  • Your health plan Explanation of Benefits for co-payments and deductibles 
  • Your Medicare Explanation of Benefits for Medicare deductible for 2013

Borough Meetings

Every spring and fall the Retiree Division heads into the boroughs, Westchester and Long Island to bring pertinent benefit information and representatives from City agencies to the backyards of retired CWA Local 1180 members.  Every meeting offers members  a thorough review of their benefits, an opportunity for a private consultation with a plan attorney, a complete luncheon and an afternoon dining with fellow retirees!
