MEMBER PARTICIPATION IS WHAT MAKES LOCAL 1180 STRONG

Local1180 members have told me the things they care about is keeping their good jobs, keeping our benefits, tax fairness, making Wall Street accountable, great public schools for our kids and enjoying good pensions when you retire. Member participation is your chance to make an impact on your own life and your own community.

YOU'VE TOLD US, NOW LET'S TELL EVERYONE

This election shouldn't be about multimillion dollar donations to shadowy groups. It shouldn't be about what's best for big corporations and the very richest. It must be about an America that works for everybody. With strength in numbers, we can make that difference. We can get to the polls and vote for the candidates who make the right decisions on these issues.

WE NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD

Strength in numbers means that it's not just our votes that matter. We need to get out the message about how important this election is to our friends, our family, our neighbors and our co-workers.

Everyone needs to know what issues are at stake in this important election. Will you share this message with your family and friends? Here's what you can do:

  • Volunteer to work on important campaigns as a Local 1180 volunteer.
  • Join our bus trips to congressional districts in New York or neighboring states like Pennsylvania where we impact the vote in swing districts and states.
  • Contribute to the CWA Political Action Fund to support member mobilization, candidate endorsements and other political process activities that cannot be paid for with member dues.
While working families’ can never match the contributions of Corporate America or the wealthy. The CWA Political Action Committee allows us to combine our financial and voluntary resources to make a real difference in hundreds of key elections at the federal, state and local level.
